February 11 marks Safer Internet Day 2025, a global initiative aimed at promoting a safer, more respectful online environment. Safer Internet Day is an opportunity for Australian schools to reflect on their role in fostering online safety and responsible digital citizenship.
On Safer Internet Day, our actors will perform live shows for students in Queensland and Victoria, bringing key online safety issues to life through storytelling and sparking meaningful conversations about cyberbullying, digital wellbeing, and online safety. James and Niamh will perform ‘Being Brave’ and ‘The Flipside’ in Melbourne, while Hayley and Bas will present their primary school performance ‘Zanna & the Lost Code’ in Brisbane.
As a Trusted eSafety Provider endorsed by the eSafety Commissioner, our company is proud to share the important Safer Internet Day message and promote online safety on this significant day. The eSafety Commissioner hosts the Australian event, providing free resources and toolkits to help schools and communities celebrate Safer Internet Day.
The eSafety Commissioner also provides invaluable support to schools throughout the year, offering free online safety education resources, including lesson plans, professional development programs, a Best Practice Framework for Online Safety Education and the eSafety Toolkit for Schools. Schools can access a range of materials to address issues like cyberbullying, online privacy, and digital wellbeing.
As we celebrate Safer Internet Day, let’s work together to create a safer online space for all students. For more information and resources, visit eSafety.gov.au.
